Identity Layer: Anchoring Trust in Web3
Your blockchain identity, secured with verifiable credentials.
Identity Layer
What is the Identity Layer?
The Identity Layer is where digital credentials are created, anchored, and managed.
• Credentials are issued by trusted Issuers (banks, DAOs, universities, institutions).
• They are tied to your blockchain address and stored in your UbID Vault.
• You decide when and how to share them with Verifier Apps.
It's your digital passport for Web3 -- issued by trusted authorities, carried in your Vault, and presented only when you choose.

- Selective Disclosure: Share only the attributes you want, using Zero‑Knowledge Proofs.
- Interoperability: Built on standards like DID, VC, and OID4VC.
How it Works (Flow)
1. Issuer Generates Credential
A trusted institution issues a verifiable credential tied to your blockchain address.
2. Stored in UbID Vault
You request and store the credential in your UbID Vault.
3. Presented to Verifier App
When a dApp or institution requests proof, you decide whether to share.
4. Validated by Verifier
The app checks the credential’s validity and pertinence to its requirements.
